I recall as a teenager in the mid 80's watching The Performers. It was filmed I think 84 and was the best surf flick growing up. Garry 'Kong' Elkerton surfing to Rose Tattoo's 'Scarred for life'. It was the best movie with a superb sound track. Rabbit, Chappy Jennings, Wes Lane, Richard Cram, Marvin Foster. Has anybody heard if it ever came out on DVD ? Can you cane toads tell me what break they filmed Kong's Island at ? I heard it was Qld somewhere.

Ever heard of GOOGLE ? Kongs left is no secret. Nagigia resort. Kadavu. Fiji. Great resort but a bit pricey. It used to be a private reef but now the reef rights have been lifted its free for all .

Oh Sanchez, I'm not going to turn this into a slanting match. When ya have a dig, ya gotta back it up with the correct info. Kong's Island was a right anyway. A cane toad is from Qld,hence the reason I directed the question to them. I had a feeling is was a bit hush hush. Thanks for the back up CMC. Another favorite of mine was Madwax (these were the days when Ross Clarke-Jones would surf under 20ft.

No worries Scotty, Kongs Island is no real secret. It's off the Sunshine Coast and is called Old
Woman Island. If you are on Facebook search Kongs Island and there insane shots of the swell last week up there.

Have a great weekend mate, I've got Kongs Island and Mad Wax on DVD as reissues on Quiksilver movies. It's great to fire them up again. I was about 12 when they came out and had to hire them from the video shop.

Filthy Habits, Surf Into Summer, the last surf movie, son of the last surf movie, Gripping Stuff, Wave Warriors, that Pottz movie were all the stuff I lived on as a frothing grom. Love this stuff!

OMG this is my favorite scene / movie must have watched it a million time when i was a grom...

sorry if a bit off topic bout kong, but my fav surf flick growing up was billabong PUMP how many times i watched that movie god only knows was epic vid even named my first boat after it too funny
