It does look good.. How wide is it? I would rather use a board that shape on a DW'er than my 12'6" Glide.. But I'm thinking my 12'6" Glide shape might work better on flat water and even BOP stuff.. It would be great if one of the Vic shops got behind this brand.. I'd love to see them in person.. Do you know how much this 12'6" SIC board costs?
DJ
dj i measured the board at 28.5". think they retail for about $2200
as you can see it then narrows out to the tall.
i got a chance to dw this board today from broadbeach to burleigh. ene swell, n winds so a lot of sideways stuff first up coming over the board, less of that in the middle and behind for the last bit.
i can say this no dw plodder . got lots of bumps and links. the take off speed on steep bumps is explosively fast- faster than the big bullet, faster then any thing i've been on.
i was thinking paddling out i should have put the fin back a bit. however at the speed the board takes off i went to ck this afternoon and put this fcs 9" hatchet in- feels good.
the spitfire fin to me didn't handle the speed and the surfing part.
very happy
footnote. i've all ways been a board junkie. but it's my business. if enough people don't like it then i wont post the boards.
i have 17'4 bullet, this 12'6 bullet and i'm getting the latest tweaked version of the 12'6 lahui kai that kelly paddled at the aussie titles 'bop' but mine will be 26 and 3/4 not 25" like kelly's. these newies have had the gun paddlers looking over the board with interest. a flatwater and bop hp racing machine. the lh crew have stuck to their guns, believed in the concept and truly have this board firing
i train with kelly's training crew. kelly suggested i paddled and dw 12'6's more to improve my over all paddling however it's taken some time to get to here. what kelly tells me is what i do. so the only bigger board i will have is the 17'4.
other people who have been good to me is dale chapman and jacko and angie from roar- thx's guys
