Is there any news on Greg - he wasn't looking to well when we dropped him off at the starboard boat.

Great photos Hoppy,
I'm alright now and thanks to you and your crew for picking me up. Turns out I didn't hydrate well enough during the race - too focused on paddling. Severe heat stroke - cramping and vomiting.
Tough conditions, very hot, but some good runners early - bit messed up later. Well done to everyone that competed, disappointed not to finish.
Dean and his team ran a great event once again.

Glad to hear your ok too Greg, I was starting to cramp up a bit when I got to the marker so I was surprised when I was catching you, you were still paddling but I could see you weren't travelling to well.

In hindsight, particularly when I heard at the end that you hadn't finished, I realised I should have gone and seen that you were ok so was feeling a little guilty but I was limping to the finish as well.

There was a few DNF's and it can happen to the fittest so remember to look out for each other in these events guys.

A couple of safety boats out there never hurts.
If I don't paddle next year I will take the boat again and am more than happy to keep an eye out.
