Our nexr comp will probably be AFL GRAND FINAL day. 29 SEP 2012

Probably be all over, sausage sizzle and all, before 1300 hrs.
in good time to get the tellie warmed up ready for the big bounce.

Location CARLTON OR PARK

Meeting at bakery am tomorrow to thrash out the details

Wave and BOP will certainly be catered for and DW is a distinct possibility.

Details will be posted tomorrow.

The following event is likely to be Tas East Coast - SUMMER EXTRAVAGANZZA.

Do you think a BYO demo could be organised
on the day as well.

By then we'll have the latest boards.

I hear there's new Stunguns and new Fanatic Pros
on the way and we have a few demos
already available around town.

We've decided to take one step back and see
if there's enough interest out there for this
proposed comp.

Obviously we need the numbers to justify the
work and organisation involved.

So if you want a comp, and can attend, put up
a post.

Even if you can't attend we'd like to hear from you
and hear your ideas on the prospect of a comp series
encompassing all regions of Tas.

Count me in . Last one was a lot of fun thanks to 2MT , Riverider, River rat , Billboard and many other BBQ helpers on the day . And I suggest we replace 2MTs red wine and beer we soaked up at the prize giving . (Myself , Spencer , Riverider and Matt the worst offenders ) !

I seem to remember you drinking some of my beer before it ran out and then you moved on to 2MT's beer skeg.

Oh yes, I am giving away free sup surf lessons prior to the comp. If you want to come second I suggest you take the offer up.

Yeah, I'm keen also and should be pumped from my recent SUP'n trip to Bali. I would say however we probably need to inject some flexibility into the comp, as flat conditions on the day make it basically pointless if you are a surf only rider. Agree we can't control the weather, but the ability to postpone or move to another location should be given some consideration. Any thoughts.

ive heard no 1 is building a pergola for the after comp bbq/leaving drinks for the day.
there will be a tv set up for the grand final as well

Well, I most llkely won't be there, but if I were to be attending I would vote for a one spot comp' and hold it there regardless of conditions - of course it would need to be knee high or better to enable waves to be caught but I have never been in favour of moving comp's in search of better conditions. Just my opinion though - and as always that usually counts for shlt anyway.

So whats it to be - Carlton or Clifton - there's not really anywhere elso you can hold a sup comp' on a saturday morning methinks

Are you trying to say that we shouldn't get too far away from
the pergola/drinks/AFL Grand Final/drinks/TV/drinks/scenario ??

We still only have 6 competitors

and BB who probably won't be there

so unless we get more interest in the comp
we'll just have another day at the office
and the six of us will surf the CARLTON RIVER-MOUTH SUPER BANK

AND THEN RETIRE TO THE NEW, PURPOSE BUILT, PERGOLA

a sad day for SUP comp in Tas

Can we have the comp somewhere other then Carlton. The waves are no good for a surf comp. Their Fat and slow. I vote Clifton, Roaring or Eagle

im loving this change, lets play away from home

we can cruze the south arm if need be. saying that we could have a session at park with fun peaks and close to the grand final tv,bbq,leaving drinks,pergola opening party

at the no 1 block
