Awesome footage mate, I was out there today around lunch time for a paddle but it was almost flat, that's a great idea about getting the ferry to Palmy with your board, i don't see why they wouldn't allow it IMO.

Very nice. I might give my 14 ft glide a go in the surf. Loved the music...Santana's cover of Whilst my guitar gently weeps...awesome.

do you need to ring the water police or maritime safety if your planning on surfing a board that big???

just so they can clear the lineup and surrounding beaches....

hahah. jokes

looks nice.

great work

Has anybody tried to catch some bow waves from the large boats that enter Port Phillip Bay? You could just sit on the edge of the shipping lane, so to not annoy the nanny state. I've seen them do it in the Gulf of Mexico. Might be a chance on the 17 ft Glide after watching the video, you don't need much of a bump to get moving.

i've seen some vids of guys tanker surfing, could probably ride the runners on a race board etc, just have to figure out where the best place to sit, right tide all of those sort of things but you could easily get some nice rides i would think

na dont need to ring anyone just have to wear hi vis clothing and tie flares to the board,

i was the only one out there, in a sense if it was breaking properly and people were surfing there i would be out there on my surf sup not my glide, sorta like the right board for the right conditions sorta thing

My buddy reports riding bow waves inshore around McRae on an 11'4 Nalu. Ships come in pretty close in that part of south channel. I imagine there could be some good fun on a 17...

Might have to check the shipping timetable and give it a try one day.
