A number of the local crew had a surf together on Sunday morning at Moffats. Plan was to get there real early to avoid the crowd as the Southerly would push the numbers there. The plan didn't factor in the 30 + mal riders who had the same idea. Don't know how you do it everyday at the crowded breaks around the Alley etc.
Anyway it turned out to be a fun morning with plenty of waves to go around.
Mark from Wetfoot Photography came along and took some shots. He has high res ones for sale if you are in them. Thanks for coming Mark. His contact details are: 0422 71 4010 or email mark@wetfoot.com.au .
Unity Water crews were at the old sewer outlet on the headland this arvo.Major contamination in the bay, local news just had it on.Advise to keep out of the area untill this swell settles down a bit.
I spent the weekend in Caloundra and surfed Moffats on Saturday morning. First time I've ever surfed there, It's a nice wave, I really enjoyed it and the mood seemed pretty mellow as well. I noticed some bombies breaking on the northern side of Moffats that looked surfable. I paddled over and had a bit of a squiz but wasn't game to take one without knowing what was underneath. Do you know if they're surfable?
