Just got back from an awesome paddle with Quinny. Equipped with a 12'6" Fanatic Fly Race, Paddle and a pair of board shorts, we paddled from Palm beach to Whale beach and back. Then had an amazing session on my new Fanatic Fun Egg 6'6" again in just board shorts. To me this is what it is all about, Sun, Ocean, NO NEOPRENE, ahhhhhhh love it!
On my way home I was dreading the welcome from the misses, but was pleasantly surprised to find her sun baking in the front yard with the kids riding their bikes happily. She then went for a paddle on the 12'6" herself across the road in Pittwater only to be joined by two other ladies going for a leisurely paddle.
Upon return I felt so alive, and enjoyed katie's comment "This is Summer for us honey".

Summer is so close you can enjoy the ocean the way it was supposed to be enjoyed.

Two thumbs up mother nature,

Great day just got even better,

Had another session today with the misses and the kids. First Katie took Jess on the Fly Race with Jess (my 4yo Daughter), then I took Jake (my 3yo Son) on the Fly Race. So Awesome!!

All in one day too. Dummer to go to work tomorrow MAybe I'll feel sick

Too much stoke for one man in one day, think I need Pizza and Beer to dull the sensors.

Lovin life,

Hey JB,

wish i could say the conditions up here were just as good, great to hear about your adventures.

By the way how does the Fly race go? It looks like it cuts through the water without much resistance upfront.

Hey Adapt,

The Fly Race is awesome. and your right about the entry, super smooth. and the glide is amazing. It is definitely up there in speed with any other 12'6" and it is sooo stable.Being able to take my kids paddling with me on a race board is amazing. Highly recommend a demo if you get the chance. It's a really different feel to all the flat bottom boards (@ the nose), you run a much longer water line so when side chop hits you the board doesn't really deviate off course much, it's kind of weird at first, but then you realise that your going faster through chop and learn to use it to your advantage. and it is super smooth, no slapping through chop, just clean, sharp and effortless.

It's even quite nice on a cruisey wave, but it doesn't like sucky closeouts much though!

It would be a bit of a reality check for some hard core dude paddling along on his SUP, flexing his muscles and engaging in war canoe fantasies ... and a mum comes effortlessly gliding past on a high tech race board.
