I'm currently using the 8'5 pro thinking about getting one of these. Does anyone have any experience? I found this video on the net, for a big guy he's doing pretty well on it.

I had a go on the board during a recent demo day. I am around 96kg and it supported my weight with a bit of paddling around to keep my balance on the board between waves.
The stability of the board felt similar to my Naish 9'3. I rode the board in 2-3ft shorebreak with no wind. The board was a load of fun in those conditions, but I think I am too heavy for the board in any testing conditions.

Hey Amp how do you find the 8'5 Pro? I've got an 8'5 Pocket Rocket and often thought the narrower Pro would be better in cleaner waves.

Relatively a newbie SUPer, 185cm and 83kgs....I found the 8'5 to be less stable than the PR. However a few surf sessions and there felt little difference.

The 8'5 feels like it glides better than the PR.

On the wave its a breeze to turn, and putting weight on the tail really gets this board turning tightly.

I would recommend anyone to take the 8'5 over the PR.

I got the TAC version, and am loathe to hide it with a deck grip! But really wish I had one.... the finish is good but feet get tired after standing on it for several hours.

The 7'4 x 29.5 was intended as a SUP for Performance & hence the name P.O.D (Peformance Over Drive) AND then came along his little brother or rather fatter sibling , which has meant this board has become very much a favorite also amongst ladies & smaller framed people when entering the sport as it does not intimidate as much so fellas great chance to SPLIT THE DIFFERENCE get ya missus a NEW SUP & BY DEFAULT ADD THIS UNREAL BOARD TO YA quiver FOR THOSE DAYS , when you really wanna get out & plug it in the hole & SUP hard in performance waves or throw it around on smaller days as you would a fish if short boarding ..It has really become an awesome board .. in both versions .. teh fatter sibling is an easier sell to the missus
