Hi, new to this forum but am a regular on the Standupforum. Discovered this one when I was checking out my You Tube page and some of my vids were on this. We have some impressive postings and video from a few paddlers from Melbourne. Anyway here's my latest effort. Would welcome any ideas about video, especially the challenges of shooting in the open ocean. I've been at it a year or so and am learning every day.

Nice Video Bill , good to see a different take on it and looks like a lot of fun. So how do you like Pono Bills Ke Nalu paddle , which one are you using.

DJ-you gotta start wearing sunscreen. Are you Irish? Either that or start eating chicken. What is PT doing with that short shaft?

I used the KeNalu and used doesn't mean I paddled much. Leaned on it mostly. A run like that isn't really a great test for a blade since the short frequency wind swells makes it incredible easy to get into a glide. Maliko is a better test for a paddle. You have to put some steam on to get into glides as you already know. I've used it there as well. THe blade is good. I love it. Less shoulder pain for sure.

I try to balance my stroke but definitely favor the left from various injuries (hang gliding when I was young).

Kissa... no we didn't go to Lahaina, but finished in south Kihei at the Mana Kai, going across Maalaea Bay from the north to the south. Check the Maalaea Bay vid on this forum which maps the same run. If you can't find it I'll post the link.
