Cool vid!
Two small observations:
It looks like your front foot is often a bit too much off center (not enough close to the stringer), and thus the board begins its lift off phase by veering a tad on the left (the dreaded "snake dance"). Its position at 0:57 seems perfect, though.
Also maybe a tad more front rocker would help when going down from a foil stall?
Kudos for your mini-tube, quite hard to manage with a foil.
Good surfers make that look pretty cool but I would be the one getting skewered on the foil....
was that a small sized foil as it didn't seem to give heaps of lift that easily.....not that I really have a clue ![]()

Medium foil but fat gut.
What are the specs of the Sunova Foil Board?...
7'8" x 26.5" x 4.25" x 96L

For what I see, Casso is delaying the liftoff on purpose as long as the wave is not foiling-friendly (too hollow/unsteady). This is because foils give heaps of lift easily, and the hard part is keeping them from breaching the surface as soon as you let them lift you off, and this is a very delicate timing going down a steep face. Delaying foiling till the slope is less steep is a good strategy.

Agree, also another great aspect of foiling is too not take the drop and ride on top of the wave, Ifind that a lot of fun.
