There's not much happening on "the breeze" at present so here is a vid we took yesterday at our local. Not quite a dogman or byronmaui vid but it's short and here you go.
The sun was finally out again after two big snow falls that covered the whole city and we were blessed with a nice clean swell and gentle offshore breeze.
We were desperate to get out at our local break after months of travelling north to avoid the sewage polution that had closed beaches after Christchurch's devastating earthquakes. Not great footage or surfing caught on camera but we had a blast and it felt great to be back with the sun out and clean waves. Massive wave count but man my body is sore today - lost all my paddle fitness!
(The beaches are still closed but as I said we were desperate!) Hoping they will open in a few weeks before summer.

Thats dedication , i guess you kooked that move cause your legs where possibly frozen stiff.And i thought i was nuts trying to surf at the local today in a raging headwind.Worked my ass of for 4 waves , but they where fun though Just wont be able to tie up me boots in the morning

Thanks for the vid , I always used to wonder why gizzie had a hot water bottle with him , yesterday we went up the coast a bit , then I see him emptying the hoty in side his wet suit before we went out.
