Competition Scotts Head 12 Km Ski Paddle & Bop Race
Scotts Head SLSC will be holding a 12 km ocean paddle race an on Saturday 23rd and a BOP race on Sunday 24th of June 2012

the Saturday race will be open to all paddle craft ,standups surf skis ect start time 1.00pm rego from noon

Saturday the course will be dependant on the wind and swell but will be in the ocean and 12km long
only if the swell is out of control we will have the race in the river

Sunday we will have the BOP style race around the cans 5 by 1km loops starting at 10am


it will be either out and back or M shape dependant on surf

entries are $25 for each event



$5 from each race you enter will go into prize pool so the more entrants the more prize money
STAR BOARD will be donating prizes
there will a bbq and drinks after the paddle on Saturday at the surf club

The events are put on for fun and participation
and to get surf paddlers to meet half way between Sydney and the Gold Coast

This was such a awesome event last year, Scotts Head is the perfect setting, the vibe was everything stand up paddling should be.
Well worth the trip down/ or up, the pet friendly camp ground is right on the beach, bowls club next door and a perfect Sup wave off the point.
Definatly a weekend for everyone

the bop sunday race will have a 12ft and under division for guys that are just getting into paddling or dont want to get a race board
the 12ft and under will do 1 less lap than the the over 12 ft .6 race boards
so come and have a go and have a try on some of the demo boards that will be on offer to test paddle

Been sup person for about a month - partner Carol has a 10'6" barry bennet and I am waiting for a 10' renegade by rod hocker - been loaned an old model by him to learn on -- love cruising the local lake and have cracked a couple of knee high waves - is there any thing suitable for us at your competition?

The weather is looking good and slight sw wind
for the guys heading to Molakai
I have put a 25km race in for you from South west rocks back to Scotts Head
so should be a good training run for the rest of us Grassy head back to Scotts 7km the 25km race will start an hour early
if you look at the photo the big hill in far left corner is South West Rocks and the headland in the middle is Grassy Head

The weather is looking fantastic ,south winds for a dw race ,everyone who races will receive a prize plus be in the chance for random prizes a starboard paddle T shirts plus many more ,enjoy the BBQ and have a few drinks

Beautifull photo of your daughter ,Im sure it wont be long untill she has a sup paddle in her hand we will miss you this year but look forward to seeing you next year ,the point is back and the swell has picked up again today 3 to 4 down the beach

Unfortunately not this year

Too many long walling waves go unridden up in that beautiful part of the world. One of my favourite spots on the NSW coast!

PERFECT family surf spot! Mum and the kids in the corner. Dad at the point and the big kids down the beach charging beachies on their short boards!

My daughters first wave ever was at Scotts! Yeeew!
