Aloha

Here's a vid the kids put together. In the last week there has been call outs, waxing windows and adults pulling kids leashes off. Over crappy small surf......hahahaha
Lots of backside and some frontside from the various crappy waves.

Aloha

Sorry don't know how to post direct here.

love the vids, "small crappy surf", i thought it was a little windy at the start but looked pretty good after that, i wish our surf on the east coast of Aus would be small and crappy like that a little more

Every time it gets a bit windy around my area I just think of what the guys in Maui surf and I get psyched to get out there.

Great surfing. Good filming too. Thanks.
One thing though - and i hate being dropped in on as much as the next person - is there more to the story than can be seen in the 2.50 to 3.00 mark? Seems to be strong reaction to the sort of drop ins you see many times a day in crowded waves. I'm not saying he should just cop it sweet, it just seemed slightly over the top. Especially in a surf environment where relations are already a bid edgy. And I'm not saying the guy shouldn't have dropped in (he says, expecting a an online **storm to arrive) ... just wondering.

Yes there is a history......Last year they wrote no donkeys on the sign to this beach. Then this year guys like this Adult would drop in and were threatening a kid that he was gonna call his boys to send Noah home. Noah ignored him until he dropped in 4 times. After that wave they went back out and had alot of words to exchange. Noah did dig into him pretty good because the beaches are free and no one owns them. The guy did eventually back down because the other people in the water said Noah is well respected and has local uncles this guy did not want to meet.

Imagine being a kid that loves something and always being told you can't do it or do it somewhere else and being challenged. He goes with his short board, bodyboard friends, etc. and he always is challenged by others but I told him stand his ground unless it's an etiquete issue. Noah could write a full book about the many encounters he has just doing what he loves. I am sorry but unless it's etiquete my son should be able to enjoy wherever on Maui he wants to go as long as he respects others.

Aloha

Wavelength - FYI Noah's experience last week.....Monday this donkey in the video, Wednesday guys writing Fu** on their car window at another break, Wednesday at an additional break an adult taking Noah's leash off and throwing the board in the rocks. All instances were because the adults did not like SUP and nothing to do with behavior. I am dealing with the last issue myself. Fun stuff for a kid.

white board in beginning is custom 8'0 and after that on most waves 7'5 stock PSH. Prefers the stock stuff right now.
