Santa was clever to turn Daddy's 8" Fish into a SUP for my 6 year old. He took the wax off, added a deck pad and some sticker that were lying around.

Although Daddy wasn't too impressed initially to lose his board ... my kid loves it !! His first ever Stand Up Board !!

Thought I'd post this to maybe give some members ideas on how to recycle an old unused board (not that this fish was old, just not used much) into something your kids can enjoy.

That's one stoked Grom. Nothing better in this world than watching kids having fun in the surf, hoots, screams, laughter..... Can't wait till my little girl is old enough.

Makes me remember why I have chosen to spend my whole life in the ocean in one way or another!

Ok I've hit the ebay and found a 6ft 10 mini mal , my kids are 7& 9 tall and light like your young bloke ..... I noticed your board is 8ft .... would this board be a tad to small ?

What size paddle is he using?

Thanks again Sue !

Yes Lacey's Lane is right...he is using one of Dad's old OC1 paddles. He is 48 inches tall and the paddle is 52 inches. It is a bit too short for him but it will do for now.

And thanks to Simon from Newcastle SUP for overnight expressing the deck pad to the North Pole just in time for Christmas.

Here's a pic of the board last week before Santa did his thing to it !!
