Sue,
Re Home and away.....
You can get help..you have already started on the journey to curing yourself by admitting you do watch it.
There is help out there .
I was addicted to "Judge Judy". I used to leave work, didn't matter if I was in the middle of a meeting or anywhere , go to various TV stores and find one that had her on .
My addiction meant that I have ended up with four 36" plasmas of various brands, five home theatre setups and seven LCD screens of various brands and sizes.
All were purchased in order to get them to change channel and hang out in their store for half an hour.
The sad thing about these addictions that we begin to
think that this is actually how people behave.
We react in a similar way to how the programme participants
behave in different situations.
I started to talk like Judge Judy.....it almost cost me my career and my
marriage until I was forced to seek help.
So when Home and Away is on, take your SUP out on to the
lawn or balcony ..what ever.
Point it in the direction of the nearest waterway, kneel beside
it placing hands on board , close eyes
and visualise a paddle down tropical waterways teeming with life
or surfing in an exotic location with perfect peeling waves and not
a longboard in sight (just joking)..
You have to fill the programme time slot with something else..
.the power of the SUP will set you free..better still go for a paddle ...conditions permitting...hope this helps.
