The difference between the two events I feel was more display's from industry sponsors. It was good to wander around and checkout all the boards on display.
As well as the judging being more conscious to use of paddle while surfing.

Ha ha...sorry about that Glenn, I was a little desperate after missing the start of the heat while out surfing with the young bloke.
Yeah the Industry displays really added to the atmosphere. I did miss the scores being read out as you finished your ride; but that type of thing is expensive to provide and is reflected in the cost of entry, so you can't have it both ways.
