I used my new christmas present, The HD GO PRO surfhero. As you can see, the picture quality is great. I was having issues with fogging, but I tried a tip the gopro folks told me. Blow dry the water housing just before putting the camera in. Seems to work. I have another clip that I will post later. In that clip you can see I had some major fog issues.
thOmO, I mounted the camera on the base plate provided by go pro about 7 inches from the nose. I point the camera upward to get a good angle. The board I am riding is the 9 10 PSH ripper. It has become my favorite board. I hardly ever use my 9 6 ripper anymore. The 9 10 works good at this spot due to the long paddle out, crowds and the freight train speed runs this wave often has!
Thanks Kauaifiveo. It certainly looks like the 9'10 ripper is working well for you. I'm using the Casso sucker cam to mount my Gopro but I couldn't angle the camera back far enough on the first run. I have modified it now so it should be better next time.
Did your gopro come with the base plate? I believe you can order from their website. Yeah I love my 9 10. Its really an under rated board. Does work best on good waves. I break out the 9 6 WR for the small and weak conditions.
