As weird as this sounds.....It'll be great to share a few waves with you all.

Nothing quite like the "Party Wave".

I'll be bringing a stack of demo sup's from Naish, Starboard and Fanatic, both wave and flatwater varieties.

Looking forward to it. Got the family in tow. Now I better go and book some accom.

This was a "don't miss" event last year and no doubt will be again. I'll get there one way or another.

We are just compiling a list of the demo boards that will be available which we will post here.

I will also put together a run sheet on how the weekend should play out. The dates have been
chosen around tides so our best surf options should be from 8am till about 12pm which hopefully
means light winds. A friend from Inverloch said that a certain few spots have been on fire lately.

Also, we were thinking a discounted counter meal at the pub but what do people think about
a spit roast and BBQ at our rental?

Hi Sako,
We should have the list put together by mid this week, and then get it up here no later
than Thursday. Are you looking at a surf SUP, flat water SUP or an allrounder?
Let me know if you have any models in mind and I will see if I can round them up.

Cheers

Hey Brendan, I wonder if the guys from Uli would like to send one or two of their short board demo models along for some of our traveling surfers to try out in the waves.

Hi Brendan,

I am looking for an all rounder. It will be used a lot down at Inverloch, on the inlet with my kids on the front etc... I would also like to have a play around in small surf.

I have had the starboard wide point and drive recommended to me, I'm just not sure if these boards will be ok with the kids.

Thanks,

OK, so it has taken a little longer to put together the list of demo boards but here's what we have so far:

RPS are bringing down the following:
Starboard
- 8'5" x 29"
- 8'10" x 32"
- 9 x 33"
- 9'8" x 30"
- 10'5" x 30"
- 10'5" x 32"

Fanatic
- 9'0" x 29"
- 9'6" x 30
- 10'0" x 31"

Naish
- 11'4" x 30"

Zac's Surfboards are bringing down most of the Simon Anderson range.

SHQ are still putting their list together.

Will it be possible to demo boards if I am not a sup vic member?

For insurance reasons you will need to be a member to demo a board in the surf.
Both days are looking good, with light winds and some waves.

If you want to demo a board on the inlet (flat water) you won't need to be a member.
But you will need to fill in a form and leave drivers license etc. The inlet is only a 2 minute drive away.

Spoke to Zac earlier today and we should have some Luke Short Design boards in the 8'6 8'8 and 8'10 range and a good chance of trying the 7'8 Hokua Naish so plenty of performance sups there,
also I'll have a new 8'8 DTM with me for those wanting to check out a Custom Sup,
its an impressive board quite different to the production boards,

Cheers.

Here is a little map showing the meeting location on the beach.

It also shows the SUP Vic house that will be the location of the BBQ each day.

The meeting time on Saturday morning is 8:30am - at the track to the surf beach at Ozone Street (and Surf Parade), as per Brendan's map, above.

For anyone who is down at Inverloch tomorrow night (ie Friday night), you are welcome to bring a beverage of choice and drop into the "SupVic house" after dinner to get the group together and the weekend started. We don't plan on a big night though, as the weather is looking really good for an early start on Saturday, let's hope we get a few nice waves to add to light offshores!!

More swell predicted for Sunday, too, so let's keep our fingers crossed!

I don't want to do a Cory (you know, the kid who posted the party details on Facebook and it turned into a riot), so if you want the address for the house pm me, Brendan (Bnaccas) or Camo.

Perfect beachie conditions this morning and my barometer here at home is steady, so I think the perfect autumn weather is with us for a few more days yet!

Woohoo!

I know that Cam has started the weekend early, probably getting the new DTM wet as I type this! I'll be joining him for some 1m beachies this afternoon, it's just going to be too hard to stay in the office all day - I'm outta there by lunchtime at the latest.

If you can't make the whole weekend, more than welcome to come down for just one of the days. I expect that we are going to have really good conditions for those who are taking their first steps in the surf and plenty of demo boards to try out.
