Yewwww can't wait for this comp. Probably my favourite comp on the calander. Always great waves n I usually get knocked out first round so I get to party on for the whole weekend. With all the colorful characters. And live music in the park is epic!!!!!! Lock it in eddy!!!!!!
Should hopefully get down there to watch the race and finals on the weekend. Having a bit of time off racing at the moment and can't get the time off work mid-week for the surf heats :(
We have a beach bar operating Sat & Sun with cold Corona's. And we want SUP riders to be part of the Gunniess World Record attempt on the Saturday for the most number of surfers on the same wave. (Then the bar opens)
Hi Tim You can enter one only one SUP Surfing Division. In the SUP Racing you can enter both the BOP and the River Race. In the river race you can win a trophy by finishing in the first three in either amateur or novice and another trophy by finishing in the class you are eligible for in your case U16.
SUP Surfing divisions are starting to fill up. There are only a limited number of spots available and these are being filled on a first come first in basis. Some one is going to be disapointed if they miss out so get your entry in quick
We are still taking entrys in SUP Pro, SUP Amateur & SUP Women, but I need to know numbers by Wednesday to print a program. Then we will fill any last spots if they are available but can't add any more heats.
AT this time the SUP Surf Amateur is on thursday from Noonish (NSW TIME ) But you may want to get in early to register, pick up all your stuff and watch the Pro Surf from 10 am ..
The 14 is only in the river race and is for 14 foot boards But if you like you can you can paddle anything under 14 foot in this class ... I hope this answers your question.
Their may be a time change for the river race .. But this will be posted tomorrow (Monday ) Good Night ...
We have done what we can to accommodate the SUPs into both the surfing and racing part of our event(and have supported SUPs since 2007) and given the BOP major time placement on the Sunday. All competitors get a competitors bag with a spot prize plus thanks to Illusions @ Noosa we have 2 SUPs to be given away to lucky SUP competitors. (You must be present at the preso to win.) Everyone says they are supporting the event and we have put a lot of time & effort into making this a quality event for the SUP's. However we need the SUP community to support the event and put in their entrys.
ENTRY Prize Pack for amateurs includes 2 chances in a board draw. draw for SUP Board Covers. Plus all the regular stuff seen in competition bags .. Sean insists its probably going to be $80 ( could be more) worth of very useful Surfing Equipment and Paraphernalia ... a chance to compete and be seen with some of the worlds Best Paddlers. if you don't have a board Send me a note on this site ...
RIVER RACE IS 9am START .... NSW TIME .... BOP is 10:30 START ...NSW TIME ...
