Hi NC1, SUPSA runs club sup surfing comps every couple of months throughout the year. The comps are good fun for surfers of all abilities, everyone gets to surf at least twice and we usually wrap the morning up with a BBQ. It's a fun social day, no prizes on offer (except bragging rights) for each round but points add up for the club championships at the end of the year. To enter you need to be a club member - $60 for the year or $10 day membership which includes the BBQ. (The annual membership lets you join us throughout the year for our race events too.)

www.facebook.com/supsagoldcoastThe SupJam comps are also good fun and good value - they run as an expression session format so you can surf as much or as little as you like on the day. There's about 4 comps a year - entry to each comp is $30 (and if you enter online early they'll usually guarantee you a prize for competing regardless of where you place).
There plenty of paddlers who come along to both.
