Conditions permitting, the SPSC Palm beach race might be going around Barrenjoey Headland. A great fun paddle for those wanting to enjoy the scenery and a tough 3.5km sprint for those in it for the tittle! There will be a support boat, and photo's and video will taken from the boat. For SPSC entrants only! So if you'd like to come along just for the race/paddle, make sure you enter accounts.tidyhq.com/users/sign_in ( mail@spsc.com.au ). Contact Casso, there is a one day/comp joining fee of $15. While your there, you may as well have a go in the waves also. Take note of comp times below.
- 7:30 am - Setup, competition entries accepted
- 8:00 am - Cut off for surfing competition entries, heats drawn up for surfing competition
- 8:20 am - Round one of surfing competition starts
- 10:00 am - Round two of surfing competition starts
- 11:00 am - Final of surfing competition starts
- 11:30 am - Women and junior divisions paddle race starts
- 12:00 am - Open division paddle race starts
- 12:30 pm - Presentation

Well done to all who made the paddle round Barrenjoey Headland. Great conditions, and some great pictures to come.

Unbelievable effort from Steve coming 5th on a 9'6" board!!! As I was following the crew round the heads, I had to double take when I saw Steve. And it wasn't a big gap from 4th to 5th either. Also to put it all into perspective the wind was WNW at about 5-8kts (some strong gusts whipping round headland maybe hit 10kts.), so the start to the race was hard, straight into the wind.

Well done, every one who entered made it, and I am sure are enjoying the pain today.
