Hey, late I know but I've just heard the SUP State Titles for SA are being held this weekend. Is that so?
If so, are there community races available?

Sorry for the late reply, I haven't kept an eye on the forums lately. I replied to you via our Facebook page but just wanted to post up here for anyone else that may be interested in coming over to SA.
We have the main State Title Marathon race which, this year, is about 15kms - This is restricted to 12'6 or 14' boards only, and you will register in the appropriate board/age/gender class. Anyone can come and participate in this race but awards will only go to SA residents. Bragging rights are up for grabs of course
We are also running a Short course which is our 'Cruiser' division, approx 5kms - This one is open to anyone on any type of board. We have experienced paddlers who will be cruising along offering support for less experienced paddlers.
This year we will have staggered starts so that hopefully the Marathon paddlers will catch and maybe pass the cruisers fairly close to the end of the race. This always makes a more exciting finish and gives the cruisers a bit of a taste of the racing atmosphere. As I mentioned to you on the Facebook page, we have a very friendly racing scene here and race days are always focused more on having a beer and BBQ afterwards.
Registration is only $15 for all divisions and every paddler goes in the draw to win random prizes, regardless of where you live
