It would be hard to get a better sponsor than Porsche.

If a Panamera was $90k here like in the USA would you have one or go for a LandCruiser?

Thanks DJ.

I hired a Toyota Echo or Corolla the other week, which had a similar concept with that centre console meeting the dashboard... Just everything single thing about that hired Toyota reeked of "crap-ness"!

I guess the old say of "you get what you pay for" is pretty true.

A recently retired 66 year old mate thinks "a car is a tin box to get from A to B".... He drives a 94 Ford Fairmont worth about $2.5k now, and his wife just made him go and buy a $3.5k Miele Washing Machine (Top of The Range).... Who the f@#k would drive around in a car worth less than their washing machine !!

I subscribe to the motto of "life's too short (to drive crappy cars)".

PS - Black Suzuki Swift's plated up as "SUP-01" are a hot little drive... And if it was available in Matchbox Size, I would even buy one for my 2 year old son! Just got him a Ford Shelby Cobra (Mustang), and a 5 Ferrari box set today.

In fact, I've like this current Swift since the very first day I laid eyes on it. Best value small car rocket going around.

PSS - It's howling outside and would be fun to do a Point Danger to Whites Beach DW Run, but I can't be bothered freezing my tits off...

Sounds good Simon.. but I'm enjoying watching the V8's live at Bathurst (the best track in Oz) and looking forward to the F1's live at 4pm from the best track in the world (Suzuka)..

They look quite reasonable in this video actually. Quite stiff... How much are they roughly?

http://www.naishsurfing.com/2012/boards/mana-air.html

Priced from about $1490 for the thin one. surffx.com.au/products-page/naish-stand-up-paddleboarding/2012-naish-mana-air-sup/

looking at the site simondo linked, it suggested the the 6" 'one' is the stiffer and more performance board- $1789 surffx

Speaking about cars DJ,
Here's a High Red shot of a Ferrari 575GTC.
www.seriouswheels.com/def/Ferrari-575-GTC-Side-Angle-1280x960.htm
This is my son's favorite car to date (match box size).
He selected it on his own, out of his cars....

His 2nd favorite is the Ford Mustang Shelby Cobra. Zero prompting from me.

I ask him why they are his favorite... He say's "they look the fastest..."

Keep in mind, he is 2 years and 3.5 months old. Plus he only has the matchbox / hotwheels equivalents... he has watched a tiny bit of F1 with me...

But he can spot a fast car!!

who needs speed? If your important people will wait.

I agree with the tin box theory, owning an expensive car ends up owning you.
Constantly cleaning it, parking miles away from other cars so it doesnt get dinged or scratched by other cars doors or trolleys, etc.

Yea I gotta admit I won't buy another new car. Apparently buying one that is 2-4 years old is the go.
