Adam Robertson was ripping to beat Bede at Bells.
Adam's in Heat 5 / round 3 ......against Tom Whitaker , they will make a call at 10am today if the comp will go ahead as it's strong Westerly wind and building swell!!
Rich, I'm holding off for a day to get down there, weather/wind not so good at the moment but tomorrow looking better. Also I'll have a better chance of catching the finals tomorrow or Friday.
I've been in the big smoke the past couple of day's [}:)] very evel,I caught the tail end of the sports report,I need to catch up on who's left! The surf looked good and Adam beating Tom, WOOOHOOOO,bloody fantastic result
He surfed a really good heat. I was lucky to down there for a few heats. The top half of the draw is crazy, CJ, Parko, Mick & Jordy Smith. Only one of them will make the final. The bottom half is really wide open. My money is on Kekoa as he has been surfing mental. His 9 in the 3rd round was one of the waves of the contest. BUT I hope Robbo beats him, my fingers are crossed.
I have a feeling Fanning will ring the bell but I'd rather see Parko take it out. (or the fairytail Adam Robbo win!!!)
I was down there for all the action today. Robbo again surfed really well to get through to the final but was out-surfed by Parko. Robbo shouldn't have been combo'ed though, Parko's 9.5 was way over scored! Judging was a bit suss but Parko deserved it.
Sooo good to see a Vico boy do so well and an all OZ final!
I was lucky enough to catch up with Robdog (Peter) during the finals. I asked him how Adam was feeling, Peter reckoned Adam was going with the flow, nice and relaxed. Robdog said he was the nervous reck, rightly so. How proud as a father would you be. I had my 3 and 5 year old girls with me, they were having a ball from the electric atmosphere on the Bells beach. My 3 year old was pointing out all the sets coming through, great start.

Hey Brooko, I had the pleasure of watching Adam in the finals on Friday and SUPing with Robdog Sat and Sun at Roadknight. It was amazing the crowd support Adam had during the finals, what a buzz. No wonder Robdog had a smile from ear to ear over the weekend, it will be a week that he won't forget in a hurry.
