RPS and Naish will be running a Sup demo this Sunday 23rd Oct.
Anderson Inlet, Inverloch.
There will be a great selection of 2012 boards and paddles to demo and you can choose whether to paddle them in flat water or waves, as Inverloch provides both from the one location.
Bring your family and friends and make a day of it.
Also, Inverloch Windsurfing Club will be firing up their bbq for the day. Gold coin donation required to eat.
Here's some pictures from today.. We got there and Aidan was busy laying out all the Naish demo boards.
Paddles, paddles, paddles.
The new 12'6" BOP boards looks great.
Here's why the 14' Jav is so fast.. and so tippy.
The cool nose of the 12'6" Jav.
The new 10'10" Nalu and Alana version.
People were just starting to turn up so PT and I went for a paddle and grabbed a demo board each.
RPS also sell Starboard and Fanatic.. So there were also some of those there.
I took the new 10'10" with the funny bottom and here's some pics that show what a beautiful place it is in Inverloch.
PT took the new 12'6" Glide for a spin.
We met a couple of the winsurfing crew that were demo'ing sup's.. They were both also on the new 10'10" Nalu's and said that they loved them because they are so stable and fast to paddle.
PT and I could see glassy water on the far side of the inlet so we paddled over.
This looked like a tepee shaped stack of wood sticks on the other side of the inlet.. so we paddled over to check it out.
We paddled back and the water had glassed off even more.. I was now on the 12'6" and PT on the 10'10".
We got back and everyone was hitting the water to demo, demo, demo.
Next PT and I hit the BBQ and had a rest after our long paddle.
We watched as the demo boards got used and the dogs played in the sand.
Funny stuff and one dog had dug a hole so deep that only it's arse was sticking out of the hole.
Must have been just too temping for the other dog..
Glad everyone had a good day. I was planning to get down there for the barbeque after an early surf at Woolamai, but unfortunately plans changed. Ended up at Big Left at midday, which was pretty good. Got dropped in on by clubbies in a surf boat - not something you see every day out there. They are big buggers, so not much you can do but straighten out and give them plenty of room.
