Great pics.

Weird seeing Noah not on one of Blane Chamber's boards.

I saw a 5' similarly inspired shortboard a year ago and dreamed of a 6-7' sup of the same.

My knees might not take that much air but looks like a fun small wave tool.

I agree DJ weird is an understatement.

Noah can rip on a car door and make anything look good.

There was a similar looking SUP board at The National Sup titles and it appeard to do OK.

Same concept I would think as the "no nose" shapes of the 80's.
How can we make this board shorter / more maneuverable, let's get rid of that bit at the front that does nothing?

Pretty sure that's one of Blane's shapes that he did under the "art of surf" label

I'd like to see a clip of him paddling it around the lineup.

Remember, the pointy nose does nothing while your surfing a board so why not cut a foot off.

IMO the pointy nose does have merit. Yes I know im going against real shaping gurus, but when you are a kook like me, and not flowing and placing the board exactly how it should be at any given moment on the wave, the edge leading right up to the point seems to be more forgiving for catching an edge especially on sucky beach breaks. Its about the nose shape being more progressive in contact with the curve of the wave.

I also have no desire to ride something with a tail as wide as the board pictured. I struggle to drive a turn on a SUP board as it is, they are way more "skatie" than prone boards. I can see how they would be fun for advanced riders, but as SUP'rs, its my opinion we need to get more driving flowing turns???.slding flat turns are just a turn off for me.

Mac, you've been reading Bob McTavish's books!

---------------

The 'squared' nose still leaves behind 2 'shoulders' to provide stability. This design has merit at 12'6 and 14' also.
