here it is....

Bluejuice did a top job of bonding the paddle to mast, (the tape is for protection) thankx mate....

the difference between the old naish ally and my custom is amazing....OODLES more power, it's amazing what a few extra inches and a stiffer shaft can do..... - fnar fnar -

Compared it with Greenrooms starboard carby paddle and it's got MORE power, probably due to the bigger paddle area and the shaft is prepeg carby...but is a lot heavier !! ...

i've made it a touch too long, hence the tape job on the T grip, to see how i go...

Flatwater cruising - perfect.

Waves - Took it out for a late night glassy wave sesh at Mets last night ...scored heaps of waves, but found the extra length a bit akward for catching waves, and extra paddle strokes on the wave.

overall very pleased with the outcome and the saving in my pocket

Hi Windymiller
Nice job the extra weight probably helps with the power transfer.

I have the same board, which I recently got. How do you find it without the EVA and with wax? As I was thinking of sticking a pad on mine as it kills my knees heading over the break.

i'm ok with all wax,

if i was putting a pad on, i'd just do a small one...just in the area where i stand, can u see where my feet have squished all the wax to the side, I dont think it is necessary to have eva all over the board...

I'm also getting foot indentations / softness in the 'paddle spot', a good windsurf chunky style pad might help spread the load in the area to avoid softness.... A bit disapointed about this, might have to have a word with Robby about this...

Year I see the indentations, bugger. I normally stand back allot further I'll try more forward next time to see how that works out. I might look at foot pads too as they will work for my knee too

How do you like the plastic T grip after using the standard alloy T bar.

i haven't measured yet, but approx 6 - 8 ".

the t grip is poifect, i might just shave off 1" of carbon b4 i araldite it in.

went out for a small surf today with greenroom at maccerz, in 10 - 12'' of water over the reef break......could have done with a smalller paddle and a smaller fin than the naish 9.5"

How good was that sesh Miller! Im super stoked!
Im still amazed at the way that these boards pick up on the tiniest swell.
Just a few power strokes and your on. Riding that little left reefie in inches of water. And surprisingly more than just a short ride. Only knee high with the waist high set was more than enough. The bigger ones we passed as they threw up all over the rocky take off zone. Watching the water surging over the ledge and into the channel as it kept taking you onto the beach. Super stoked!
Ive taken note of the swell and tides so we can hit it again.
I want more
