It'll be interesting to see if someone is helping design these boards or if it's all blane. i do like the idea of these guys who have been around OC1, prone boards and skis getting into SUP racing as these guys have been thinking this siht for years before we were even born. Should be a exciting year i feel!!!!!

It will be interesting to see if Blane goes with the persian slipper nose like the F 16 and Naish 14 or the lower piercing nose like the Naish 17.

It looks pretty low in this pic.

nice looking board. very excited by the number of boards coming out. looks to me like it has that slightly domed nose deck side which would suggest a piercer. piercing boards are getting better. dj, i reckon the naish 17' is the best one i've put the nose under on- very comfortable, the vortice is pretty good at coming up too if you do manage to get it under
cheers
psi have a feeling that surfing sups numbers might start receding at some time, but downwinder's and racing is going to be huge. i wouldn't be surprised if a few people went back to shortboarding as their surfing craft, but did dwer's and races as a backup or their main sport
cheers

Good question Rob. When I know I'll let you know.
Knowing Blane the 'perfectionist', nothing will happen unless it is something special and a class leader. Anything else would be a waste of time.
With all these talented shapers focussed on DW's and FW boards this is one area of the sport that is going to be pushed beyond current limits! Interesting times ahead!

Blane will be glad that he has Slater Trout on board to help him test and develop these new boards.. www.slatertrout.com/

I saw Blane mention that he believes this board is currently about 8 out of 10, and he only wants to make 10's. He had made some changes to the next iteration before the board had even hit the water and a few more changes to come now it has been tested.

Hey DJ, looks like another addition-Guy Pere!

One of the elite open ocean racers, Guy Pere came out today and jumped on our 14' Prototype and did the HI Kai run. He was flying and was super stoked... Board worked very well for him to say the least. If you ever get a chance to watch these elite paddlers do it... So sick how they connect bumps and make it look so easy... As of today, Guy is the newest additon to Paddle Surf Hawaii's ohana!

The latest update! Purple? Hmmmm

Our designs are meant to fly in raging seas to mellow small chop and even give good glides when flat. Our shapes will open some eyes to what's possible for a great all around board.... BC

A legend on his new prototype racer... This was taken on his first test run on the purple proto and he was blown away. He was just sorting it out and already flying... Our designs are different from other boards and everyone will see why soon... I know I can make them even faster too... Heading in the right direction for sure!

Still working towards 10/10 apparently.
I guess we will see it in action at the Battle of the Paddle next month.

Anyone going over?

There's a proto on Maui and it is pretty sick. I can't wait for more proto's but so far it rocks and a neat refreshing design.

Phil sorry can't post pics yet. I actually have to get it off the beach and in the garage after each run. As soon as I get the green light I will post up. I will get some shots of a run for ya.

Thanks Byron,

It great to see Blane is moving into the race boards. He has such passion for what he does. Looking forward to seeing them in more detail.
