Tell me in detail how and when on the take off. Is it a 2+1 or 5 fin ? You might be a little too foreward on it that board is fairly full up front compard to the Rippers.

I also found this when I demoed this board originally, but as piros says doesnt do it so much on the rippers and that was the deciding factor for me and ended up going the 9'3.

I also ride 9,6 wr and have for 12months all so board rips think your not back on the tail enough back slightly over the rail and it will turn quicker not bogging the rail , i ride thuster set up 2 small side fins and fcs pc3 in the middle ,completely different board goes like much shorter board bit slidey but thats the fun side of it you should try it you will be serprised . Hey SUP 8383, yes what the boys are saying is also my experience.
I rode this board for 18 months and still go back to it.
It is a keeper.

Keep in mind it will float up to 100kg so if you want it to jump to life - step back.
Going to surf stance a bit earlier in the take off will also help.

The fin recommendations will improve looseness and drive when you step back.

Hit the sweet spot and there is not much this board cannot do.

Are you a natural footer and the left rail (forward of centre) is digging in? or opposite for goofy?
If so I'm pretty sure I know the answer.
