Went down to Williamstown for a paddle tonight...fell over on the boat ramp didn't think too much of it..about 200 yards out I felt a throbbing in my elbow and looked down to see quite a bloody slice across my elbow....paddled in and realised while give the elbow a slice and dice I cracked my board...anyone know how to fix a crack in an epoxy board? Will sanding back and filling with epoxy fix it....I've got two elbows and only one board....Help!!

If it is a small ding, sand and fill with 5 min araldite and sand back smooth, then 800 wet and dry. Anything larger and you are going to need to glass it with epoxy resin.

I have fixed a large ding on an epoxy board by painting the exposed foam with 5 min araldite ( so that the polyester resin does not come in contact with the foam) , then when araldite hard, glassing with polyester resin.

The 5 min araldite won't provide much strength on a 10cm long split.
I would consider glassing it as well.

Very dodgy using polyester on epoxy boards even with an araldite layer - why bother? Just use epoxy resin. araldite is also brittle so not great.
