re 2nd Picture

has anyone tried this on there board.....

often when i have been knelt down, battling head on winds;; i've thought a removable 2nd blade that you could atatch to the T grip would be a gift,,,

maybe a retractable back rest too , as part of the pad, so u can paddle in canoe style...

or am i burning the whole essence of SUP here

A guy was trying out SUP using an old sailbaord and a super long double-ended paddle. He was doing ok and could put in a great burst of acceleration with the double-ender.

I tried the paddle and it sucked. A shorter one would work ok for sitting down I guess.

There is a thread on DIY paddles and one was planned with an extra long, wide handle so you could use it as a double ender sitting down.

We have tried sitting and paddling into wind simply using the handle end as a blade. It is much faster than standing but it gets tiring and uncomfortable.

I reckon it could be a good vessel in the surf for doing tandem paddle twirling and other mesmerizing tricks.
