Hey guys,

Just put up a video from surfing Tea Tree Bay the other day. Nothing big like the last vid but some good waves nonetheless. Landed 3 tail 360's so I was pretty stoked. Check it out!

Cool vid, nice spin at 1:40!

Quick question, how many inches overhead is the paddle you're using there Keahi?

exellent riding mate, watching you pulling through people either sitting waiting for waves or floundering about trying to catch them or catching waves for only a few seconds ride after a lot of effort makes me think i probably won't prone surf again.
sup looks way cooler(when done well).
mind you ive a long way to go.

I was think exactly the same thing...while Keahi was tearing it to pieces everybody else out there might as well have been sitting on the rocks with the turkey..

My thoughts as well. No wonder the Pros are doing SUP, On days like that what better way to keep fit, and bag a lot of waves at the same time. I'm sure there would have been at least one or two converts in the water that day.

Board is an 8 foot by 27 Laguna Bay board. They make a bunch of sick performance boards ranging in sizes.

Sorry, didn't notice the paddle question. Have no idea how much bigger the paddle is then me. Have never measured it. Will do when I get a chance

Hi Keahi,
how wide's the nose & tail (1' in from respective tips)? You're carving with what looks like a big wide "mal-type" nose, whereas lots of guys are going the "ripper"- or "shredder"- style noses. Sure looks like you don't need one
Your board is pretty narrow at 27", how's stability?

Haven't measured the nose and tail so will have a look when I get a chance. Looking at a trying a more pulled in nose on my next board but I still do noseride a bit so the mal nose is good sometime

The board is pretty tippy at 27 but it is bearable and I way close to 70kg. Does get pretty hard in chop but goes so sick on the waves

hi,i was interested to see if you had tried a more pulled in nose. if you try a smaller nose are you considering going a little wider than 27"?
cheers

Not really sure just yet. Will have to look into it a bit more. I might add a little bit of thickness maybe instead just to keep the volume up

yeah, it's a bit of a juggling act. my dc is wider than my old gerry, but the gerry had a wider nose.the gerry was slightly more stable.good luck with it and the vids are way tops.
cheers

You are ripping - I happened to watch it with my 13yo son just before this was posted, you may have converted him. I couldn't believe some of the moves you pulled off. I'd be surprised if your phone doesn't ring hot with sponsorship offers soon. I'm going to watch this again. Keep the great vids coming.
