Hey bailey, we have found the SUP ATX packages represent very good value at $1199 with carbon paddle. We have been selling them for 3 years now and they have proven to be well made board. The 100% carbon paddle that comes with the package, is either fixed or adjustable and a pleasant surprise at this price point.

At 6' and 88kg I would recommend the 11' LR. It paddles nicely and surfs surprisingly well from the tail. If you want a more surf orientated board the 10'6 AR is 31.5" wide with more emphasis on wave riding.
The longer board (11') will paddle better (more glide) and the shorter board has more manoeuvrability built into it.

I have also caught the SUP bug after a few lessons. I am a big guy (105kg) and have been considering the 12' Fanatic Ray as my first board. I will basically be using the board in flat water (Moreton Bay) for fitness and touring. Has anyone got any recommendations/reviews of this board? Also would I best to get an adjustable paddle that my wife and other family members can also use?

My wife has the 12' LR just for flat water.
I have used it in the surf (slow 1 footers) and it was great.
I ride a 10'6" x 29" in the surf (mal style board) and use it on the flat water, chasing my wife on her 12'. My board is 154 litres and I am 5"9" and 75kg, so you could get away with the 10'6" AR. for the surf and use it on the flat. At 170 litres, 31 and a half wide, it would also handle side chop and windy conditions better than a 29" wide board. In rough conditions, out the back, in the surf, I spend a lot of time correcting my balance.
By the way, they have a really good quality finish and I also stole the paddle off my wife and use it for everything. (She prefered my adjustable)

I ended up purchasing a 11ft LR from AA it seems like a good option for both surf and flat water crusing..I used an 11ft in hawaii and it seemed a good size also the carbon fibre paddle that comes with it seems like a good bonus, can't wait to go out for a paddle :)
