Nice looking board - looks a lot like a well known hawaiin brand.

Any idea How much more do the silver AST with sailing option weighs - are they exact the same shape and similar performance wise?

Said that on Greenies post

Much improved looking board, lost the windsurfer tail thing they had going on, still a chunky beast.

why wait 2 years for starboard to come out with something like this.

the custom crew and a few progressive 'production' companies have been doing this stuff for ages.

sorry, i don't get it. this board is just a catch up model imo

One of the big things IMO is the brushed carbon (full foam sandwich carbon) construction you can get the boards in, expensive but super light and very strong.

Got a peek at Lummers carbon on Sunday. Allways going to be a fan of custom but gotta admit this is a pretty impressive board. A lot more refined than last years model and insanely light. Now if it only came with a quad setup..........?
Cheers
