Well for starters the site talks about rowers not paddlers (rowers face the wrong way) and surely you would smash your knuckles on the change over. Plus throw the balance of the paddle out but would make it easy to hang up on the wall. The video really shows very little why it works. Looks difficult at the end of the stroke to feather the paddle plus it makes you pull the paddle way past your feet.

Last thing I would ever use in the surf your bottom hand is never in the same position , but at 49 GB pounds it's a bargain The fact they keep using the word rower shows how little paddling experience they have.

No no no no no no no!The only person suffering sore wrists is the person coming up with this stupid idea - sitting up all night watching porn!Did they rip off a Stephen Hawking - like voice machine to do the narration.. thinking that it gives scientific credential?Yeah.. like I spent 500 on new paddle, so I can lower the weight by 100g or so.... and now I am going to bolt this obscene thing to it?Ergonomic? No... of course its not.... ****, we do this for fun.. and to me, simplicity is key to that. P O with this crap!Dork demonstrating how fatiging it is to use an oar (although, I think some people call them paddles) - has his upper arm straight. Either bad acting or totally inept. Of course you get a newbie out paddling for a day and they will be sore! Althlete or not! Another example of over-thinking things and ignoring the KISS rule! For laughs, check out the fb page.. and the so called "Pro Handle Grip on paddles for Stand Up Paddle." - Someone certainly has PAS (Pump Arm Syndrome)! www.facebook.com/pro.handlegrip

That handle shares some design ideas with bent shaft paddles. It's like an attempt to convert a straight paddle into a bent shaft paddle. My main paddle is a bent shaft (Werner Grand Prix) and now I like it better than regular straight shaft paddles for flat water and downwinders. Interesting concept but I'm not sure how it'll work in practice. With a bent shaft paddle, you can still slide your hand up and down the shaft easily - unlike this handle. The main advantages of my bent shaft over a straight shaft is less flutter, better wrist and forearm angle, and slightly better reach on the catch -similar to this product. I'd be curious to hear from someone unbiased that's actually tested it.
