The way he let it crash into the shore break, I'd say it's the LE 10 and the LE7 about now.

Apparently that big green DW board that Connor won on was a Starboard.. and not an SIC board..

Oh, this time of year is funny. All the mystery around what's coming out soon. trying to measure up boards from photos and piece together sizes using the thumb and fingernail scale.

So strange. Just the other day I was thinking... "I wonder if a multi-hull would work well for Downwind ocean paddling"

Well, I still don't know, but I do now know that someone's now tried it!

Interesting looking back half on the Naish, almost looks like it could be ridden both ways.

Surely they wouldn't run steering cables on top of the deck on a production board?

Why not? Saves a lot of hassels down the track thats for sure!! Pretty sure you would not even notice them there, i have used one with the cables like like that and it was fine. Would save costs on making them as well.

Certain muppets (me most likely) would probably hook up/chop off a toe

Nah, when i rode the board like that it was not possible for that to happen. I could see how you could think that but from what i have seen it works fine. But who knows they might do it like the old Naish 17 or the SIC's but i hope they come up with a better design!!

The problem with running them under the deck is over time the tubing gets squashed or the cable cuts through and in the board which cause's a leak that you wont even see until it's to late. I'm a big fan of putting it on the deck where you can see whats going on and even catch problems before they happen!

Hi David I was talking with Mark Raaphorst yesterday Mark said he personally shaped Connor's green board.
Even the look of that green board in the photo looks like a SIC board.
But really who cares because it's all about the money heaps of companies all do it

I was wondering to myself why there didn't seem to be anyone making a cataraman hulled raciing sup?
And here we go.
The future?

I've paddled that red catamaran in Kahului Harbour last year they are very fast in the flat, they handle side chop with ease, good in winds of 12 knots or less when going Downwind Paddling, you can even paddling this catamaran SUP into the wind with ease it's not as much a drama as with a normal SUP (but who likes paddling into the wind anyway). Mark Raaphorst has been making the catamaran SUP for like 4 years there hasn't been many made. I was sitting on the fence wether to buy that red catamaran SUP and bring it back to Australia but didn't bother.

It's actually banned from a lot of races. Don't know why. If Raaphorst thinks it works, let him prove it. I'd love to give it a run.

Thanks Phill.. I just found out last night the same thing from Jeremy..
Bill said that it was not a SIC board and it was a Starboard.. Some people a fooled by what some stickers say..
Jeremy said it was his old board and Connor just wanted to paint it Starboard green.. I'm guessing like the tail of their wave boards.

Hi David I got an email from Jeremy Riggs about 2 months ago telling me about his new Bullet 17'4'' x 22''
22'' inches is bulk narrow. Only featherweight guys like Jeremy or Connor would by able to balance on it. I'm guessing it would only weigh about 10 kilos or 22 Pounds
I'll be back on Maui in 7 weeks I'll get all the gossip. Can't wait for a Maliko Run. The Maui Naish Race on the 21st has been cancelled Quick Blade and a few others are sponsoring the Race.

Thanks for the pictures Phill..

Jeremy's new board looks awesome..

No handle needed when its narrow enough to carry it under your arm..
