The new handle is being developed for use at our local break that can be a paddle back of 600 meters. When its windy or the arms need a rest after 40 rides...it's quicker to run back to take off.
This new design will allow the fingers to hang on to the board with less effort....I think....what do you think?

looks brilliant. are you going to offset placement from the stringer so it's easier to snug a board up under the crook of your arm? i've always thought that dead-on center placement wasn't ideal.

What you are saying is very true. I will look at that..anything that makes the job of running with the board is a plus

I have thought about this idea but was having trouble thinking how you would put something that shape into the board.

I ended up thinking it would need to be a moulded square block of plastic something like this...(this would be a cross section/cut in half)



How do you intend to make them Dean and then get the thing in the board?

Great idea. If I was making it for myself I'd displace it as suggested and only have the one finger slot rather than the two - as I would be obsessive about draining the water out of the slot.

Good question Brendon....I have a few ideas about methods of construction, it has to be simple strong of course light!

PS ...glad the surf is crap......the tourists are like flies on SH1T ...70 out at prk ...only just enought room to put a paddle blade in between boards

Im more inclined with Bannacas version.
If ya tripped or a gust of wind with yours LSD could be a coupla broken fingers maybe.
My thoughts anyway
