It's a pitty the few big name brands in the US don't have their brand in Australia.
Infinity and 404 would be big here I would think. Two brands that seem to make great boards for flat water / BOP / DW.
Does anyone know do they make them in USA or do they also go to Thailand/China to have them made? Obviously the customs for team riders are being done in US just wasn't sure about the shelf stock.

Would luv to see some of the other brands be available in Oz, some of the designs both in race and surf sups look really good/ innovative, having a greater choice from the other big 4 brands would be great

I know 404 are made in the USA. There are a couple floating around NZ but they are not cheap. I would guess cost is the main reason retailers can't bring them in.

I saw a 12'6 X 24 while doing some board shopping in the weekend. Looked cool and you can see the workmanship but its scary narrow and I am after a 14.

This has me tempted but pretty expensive for a second hand board.

these two boards aren't that far behind in those ideas. both were rated by every good paddler who tried them. super stable for the width. bop and dw goers and pretty good in the flats too

couldn't get anyone interested in development. would have loved to have tried the concave thing thought the tail. would have loved to refine them

however banging my heading against a 'wall'just frustrated me out of doing stuff like this anymore and to see something like these boards pop up a year or so later and people going wow just adds to it

btw pintail was faster, would pick up any bump.

sq tail would get some amazing bursts of speed on bumps or coming back in on surf bumps

I Know what you mean which is why some times you just have to take it upon yourself and go your own way and have all the fun on your own well that's what I decided. except for the Thomas the tank engine they do look very similar. Fairly flat rocker by the looks? I like the hard rails going forward, I may have to have a play with one of these myself and combining two of my existing shapes. For me experimenting and developing is the most fun part!

The infinity looks nice and good to see it makes use of the water line unlike a lot of boards at the moment the only thing im not keen on is the steep transition from bow to standing area that seams to be a bit of a trend this year.

a very short soft displacement into flat with slight concave under foot . front rails soft up front going to shortboards rail to get max width usage for stability going into hard ish edge sq rail to tail.

almost a clean taper from the nose to the tail when you look along the rail

sounds nice, and a double concave deck of the sq tail? I have been doing a few of those on my 12'6
