I'm working on a new project that requires a cigar shaped camera. Both the Go-pro and Sony Action won't suit. I need something shaped like a pack of lifesavers , like the ION or the Contour. Must be Full HD & waterproof and WIFI a plus and good in low light the smaller the better.

Any advice or reviews appreciated.....

Been running the sony action for a few weeks , it does take a nice video but it runs very hot and fogging is an issue. The wifi to some android's is fairly simple but to an iphone it's just that bit too hard. All works well without much lag on the wifi but far from impressed. Haven't tested against the new Go-Pro3 can't see it being any better probably worse....

I have been using the iON Air Pro Wifi and it has taken some really great footage. One drawback is the female thread on the body of the camera has totally rounded itself out. I found out (the hard way) it was plastic - every male thread tripod mount, fly mount, iON mount is stainless steel. Unfortunately cam is now only good with gaffa tape.
Go the Contour - it's still the best cylinder style cam imho.

Maybe try some Teflon thread tape so you don't have to over torque the thread to get it snug.
