Sunday morning we had a big buster blow through. I paddled a OC2 along part of the coast up here. Some other guys smashed their canoe ama in the shorebreak. It settled down a bit today but still had some nice little sliders at Etty Bay 2 feet. Fingers crossed for the rest of the week. Seems a bit strange to have the winds like this at this time of year.
Hey Sharmat, sun we had calm conditions glass off, nice waves till about 10 am . Funny the winds and everything. Nearly like a winter set up offshore early, mild ocean temp. we had some blubbers and snotty jellies move in Sun morn, good thing i reckon the muddies follow them in.
The Mackay wave bouy is reading near 4 metres +, thinking it might be worth a mid week drive.
