If you love your dog or have ever owned one this short doco is so touching.

I watched it and was a blubbering mess........ Watch it alone if you are scared of people seeing your emotions.

I feel like I just got stabbed in the throat!

Something about pets, brings back some good memories though, then sadness again.

We had to have our dog of 10 years put down 2 weeks a go. We had her longer than we have had our kids so the vid hit a bit of a raw nerve.

When they say 'Mans best friend' they really hit the nail on the head don't they.....

My dog got poisoned by a guy that didn't like her barking at him while he conducted all sorts of dubious stuff in our shared driveway at 3am in the morning and people peaking out of the windows to see what was going on. I think I know now what he was doing. She lived anyway, but I had to say goodbye to her and it was like this scene. The vet gave her '99% very bad news'.

The next day as if a miracle had occured she was healthy again, looking for food (labrador) and wagging the tail. That was actually how I knew she was getting sick, the tail stopped wagging! It only cost me $5000 for her 3 day stay, 18 bags of plasma and 35 Vitamin K shots along with various other "House" like investigations.

RIP Oden indeed.

Mate...sounds like it’s your neighbour needs some encouragement to move on...
I have had 3 dogs who all died of old age or accidents from being old. I made a decision then to never get another one....then my son got very sick and ended up having a bone marrow transplant...his recovery was rough...
I was out on a farm one day and they had some orphaned blue heelers about 4 weeks old and in very bad shape...they gave me one for my son which turned out to be the best thing.
He is super friendly, very smart (sometimes too smart) and a good mate for my son. I am sure this dog can read my mind, when I am thinking about going out he will be waiting by the door.
He also loves Suping. When we are down at the beach and there is a board on laying on the ground he will climb on it and start barking at me to take him for a ride…much to the owners horror lol.

I got to 3:16 and i can't watch anymore.

We lost our 15yr old boxer (Zues) few months back, too hard. We had Zues from 6 wks old.

But Little Sup our new Jack Russell has made it alot better now.

That is the best dog vid ever! How's the look in it's eye, staring down the line standing on the angle with its tail wagging on the nose of that board. Gets nailed and then shakes it off with a wag.

Makes you believe in reincarnation, that dog was a surfer in a former life for sure!

I was forced to do the same with Bear our 14 year old retriever, its nearly 3 years now. One of the saddest day's ever knowing this trip was his last car ride so I played a song by Pete Murray with words, happy now happy now, everytime I play my Ipod when it comes on I instantly think of Bear or other times I have to skip it just too hard some day's.

makes me appreciate my mutt - 16 yr bluey kelpie. I know she's getting on but she's still loving life for an old girl. Lupa left her first poo on her bed last night... I'm going to be a wreck when she passes.

Hey, that video just ripped into me. Painful losing someone that believes and loves you despite your faults. Dog, human, friend all very difficult to seperate. I hope the bloke is a surfer, it sure helps.

You've got it back to front. Surfers were dogs in a former life. They lay around all day. Do nothing but play. Smell. Bite people. Sniff crotches.

I finally plucked up the courage to watch this last night.

Our dog Bennie is an 8 year old labrador, are he is just starting to get a little stiff in the front shoulders from a lot of exercise and ball chasing. Plus, he recently developed a lump on the left testicle. So he had both of them removed on Wednesday just gone. He bounced back from the operation very quickly. I think I'll be OK when he finally goes, but yeah, messy for the first few hours probably.
