Good one Greenie looks like a big step up performance wise compared to the old girl. Should be able to bury a rail nicely

That would make it feel a bit stiff dont you think?

Would it go better as a single fin?

Sick I got red thumbed for answering gotta love those jetski pilots out there.

I like smaller all around some like the bigger centre fin personal taste. IMHO that style board a full thruster set would be sweet.

Its because you replied to me about fins, weired

I spose you could push that rear fin forward to free it up a bit. Plenty of adjustment there.

Thats my personal preference, 5.5" centre moved slightly forward with 2 smallish sides.
The quad I'm using at the moment is good but I think I prefer my old setup.

Greenroom, let us know how it went, also try a small centre like 6" or under when you
get a chance and let us know if it goes any better or worse.

FCS are bringing out a new PC5 fin that is designed to go into a box. Will be an option to turn a board into a thruster and not have to use a plastic one that is still using the same shape from the 70's.

I just use the FCS conversion kit, so any of my FCS fins will plug into the box.
Bargain - $25

Nice board Greenie: looks like it will go great in the bigger surf, with that tight little tail.

Tried out some new fins in Greenies girlfriend's twin sister!

Had my first surf on the 9'8 today, so much fun, stable fast down the line and turns so easily even if you aren't back far. Bought it to replace my 10'5 Drive from 2009 and just love it.

Fins are from Rainbow Fin Company, friend bought them back from the US for me, centre is 6" and the sides, Speed Fins have got the little canard kicked over wing on the tip.

Check out the little insects on the board - tiny grasshoppers - must be millions of the buggers, I put the board down to take the photo and in 20 seconds or so they were all over the board - hope they don't grow into locusts

Well it's hard to say because I haven't tried the board with any other fins, this is the marketing stuff from the Rainbow Fin Co site

Speedwing 46
Aerospace has used winglets for more than 30 years. They must know something about efficiency since you see it on almost every commercial jet. Rainbow Fin Company has incorporated this winglet technology to our fins and we are proud to introduce our "SPEEDWING" fin line. By adding the winglets to our fins we have made a major leap forward in fin design. The winglet converts the drag caused by the vortex at the fin tip into apparent thrust. When surfing with the SPEEDWING, you will feel like the fins are slipping through the water, which means that you don't feel drag. One of the most repeated comments about the SPEEDWING is" IT FEELS LIKE I HAVE A FIFTH GEAR ON MY SURFBOARD!" Take your surfing to the next level with the SPEEDWING. Sunny Garcia - approved...just ask him about the Speedwings!

I have to say that the board just ripped down the line, I need to put regular fins on and compare. I heard about them from Wardog at Surfingsports recommending them to someone that said their board lacked speed. They certainly look pretty wild!
