Great vid - I just showed that to my 9 yr old daughter and now she wants first go in the surf on our new board. Sigh.

The Gath looks like a good idea out in the surf for little ones.

Well I have to agree the SUP title in our house is up for grabs and I think in six months I will be trailing way behind! But thts good in my book.

Kid Modifications:
The Gath helmets are a must for the smaller kids safety first.

Iife jackets are also a good idea evenif they have a wetsuit.

I make the kids custom paddles out of cedar that are ultra light yet well and truely strong enough for them. The cedar is soft and does not mark the rails either but resists the water.

You need to reduce the blade area to about 2/3 of the methane area for them to get enough grunt to get up and go on a wave as well as they dont have enough strength.

We polish the cedar with spiritgum and linseed oil to water proof them as advised by Tom Wegener and they last for ever.

Watching Nesha and Kristi surf tends to make me get that Cheshire Cat smile that wont go away for a week. Oh and the girls dont mind letting the local boys know that they can rip too.

Proud Dad

Had the pleasure of sharing a glassy late arvo knee high session with these guys today. Kristi and Nesha on the sups and Nikki on her surfboard with Phil swimming and doing the tennis dad thing in the middle. It was a great way to finish the week with hoots and calling into waves all round, and everybody with big grins.

Phils coaching also had me whipping my paddle assisted turns and kick turns around heaps quicker by the end of the session.

Phil you should be proud they are all great kids.

Thanks heaps for a fun sesh

Revvin,

Some people think we are all a little weird, because in the surf we just love encourage everyone and yup your gonna get hoots and cheers its all part of that FUN FUN FUN thing.

We were just so please to share some waves with you! I think the girls add a very different vibe to the whole session, I'm so lucky because i get to do it with them all the time. Theyre just perpetually stoked on life.

Today we had the pleasure of seeing a friend Adam surf his PSH 10'6 Wide for the first time. The look on his face when he caught the first wave was just "Awesome" he loves the board.

By the end of the session he had a chesire cat smile a least a mile wide. Hes a great guy and seeing him enjoying his time in the water like that was what days in the surf should be like!

The thing we enjoyed most was you guys joining in.

Rotating waves with good friends was what the whole Surf thing is all about.

The Hawaiians call it Aloha

Well we have plenty of Aloha to spread around here, Revvin the kids said theyre hanging out for another SUP session with you coz your cool and know how to have FUN.

Enough said!
