I've been a fan of the Mistral brand ever since Robby Naish was a team rider but to be honest their sup boards sucked....

Untill now.. www.mistral.com/sliders/sup-11-cities/ .. Check out that upsidedown looking race board..... .. and how good do they look from the rear..

Very interesting shape. I'd sure be interested to draft that in a race.

interesting nose. seen a few done around the place, alains board and a naish.

been thinking of a different interpretation of the dc 12'6 nose for myself.

lahui kai with dick van straalen have come up with a different concept that has them excited.

i do like the look of those mistrals
cheers

I might add that Mistral Windsurfing Boards in the past have had a very very high quality of build and finish. I trust they still do, and are bringing that quality to SUP.

Another maker had an upside down "extra cutter" nose at a trade fair in then states a while back... it was posted here...

As far as I know the upside down nose idea comes from racing cats, hobie have done it on their cats for ages now.

The original idea was to get extra hull length but still fit within category restrictions.
So a hull measured at the water line might be 18' but under the water it is actually 18'6".
Does that make sense?

I agree with Simondo, Mistral quality was always very good however they were always slow
compared to the other mass produced euro brands.

The finish on the Fanatic above looks amazing, might have something to do with the shadow
but the mistral could look better. Reminds me on the old Williams Renault.

The 'A' class cats have the upside nose and the designers Morrelli&Melvin themselves have had there own SUP raceboard out for a while now.

And for those kiter's you may like their other project project.kiteboat.com/
