In light of today's somewhat disappointing weather conditions forcing cancellation of the Cerberus event, I wonder if anyone else is like me - in need of a decent paddling fix to look forward to. Maybe a sunrise start in the Elwood/StKilda vicinity? Or perhaps a sunset along the Yarra?
How about a Monday night Yarra paddle.. Same place.. Same time as the old days of regular night paddles.. 7 pm Opp Fed Square.

D'oh! That's the only clash I have all week. Someone coming to collect a chair that I just ebay'd. If that time works for everyone else, I can possibly reschedule and get there for 7pm.
I'm in Melbourne 19th - 23rd March (Collins St) and would love to paddle the Yarra - any takers for a paddle over those dates ?....I know it's 5 weeks away but it'll be here before we know it.
Also planning on a morning trip down to OG / Torquay over that period which'll be fun if Huey is kind.

I'm sure something can be arranged. That's the week before the grand prix so traffic around StKilda is impossible, may as well stick to the river that week.
If your in OG or Torquay yell out and we will organize a board if you need one and point you in the right direction!

I'll be out paddling somewhere at least 3 mornings this week so I'd be up for the Yarra morning too. But I would like to see the city light up from the water so an evening is something I'm really looking forward to.
Okay so oliver, ALsUP and yours truly locked in for Tuesday at 7.30pm at the Melbourne Rowing Club at the end of boathouse drive opposite Fed Sq. Everyone most welcome to join us.
Paul, Oliver and I headed off from the rowing clubs at 7.30 and headed for the Docklands, finally returning at 10.15. We stopped off at the Docklands for an ice cream and on the paddle back we even got some applause from some onlookers at Southbank.
