Took the psh 12 out to the Bombie with my 4yr old daughter on the front and rode the high tide reform over the reef. She hooted all the way in on her first wave ever.I'm Still buzzing 3 days later

Nothing like time on the water with the kids?

Fully agree, only a couple of weeks ago had my daughter on the nose of an inflatable. She stood up every wave and hooted and would not let us get out of the water. Just one more, one more.

It was her first day that she really felt the stoke and as you say, nothing else compares to that.

I get what you guys are saying. I have three daughters in thier 20's who have never been interested in surfing.
I now have a two and a half year old grandson who can't get enough.
My old Southpoint has become "my board", and he loves to sit on my knee and watch videos on Seabreeze. I am stoked too!!!

Sweet. Great memories. Next time see if someone can get some photos or video. Only thing I missed with my 2.

It happened for me on Sunday as well. Took my 3 year old out down to Sandtrax where it was about half a foot. I had one of the soft top whoppers and for the first couple I lay on the board and she stood up. After about three waves she said "I want todo it on my own now daddy." Sure enough pushed her into a few waves and she stood up straight away. It wasn't just me and my daughter who was super stoked but everyone on the beach couldn't believe it!

Good for you guys. Having been able to pass surfing onto my kids, get em
hooked, to surf with them - these feel like the real accomplishments in my life.

Exactly. My two are young adults now, but the days when we were stepping on to each others boards, dropping in on each other, gold! Now they are older, paddling out and just enjoying their company. It's a bond like no other.
