Just got some great news from Molokai for the Aussie's. Travis second, with an amazing paddle by Dave Kissane to come home in third. Of course Connor was first just showing his dominance on the long ones is still there.
Hopefully more details to come soon.

Yeah I think Marcus would have be around 11th, Terrene 1st in the girls me 2nd In The 14ft class and 13th overall I think. Heaps of great DW paddlers over here I know the top 3 in the 14 ft call were all only about a minute apart and the positions would change ever bump!!

Also Paul Jackson 2nd 14ft class and top 3 guys on 14ft battled the whole way.

Great job by all the aussies today however watching was nowhere as fun as paddling.

From what I am hearing from Marcus, Trav won't be the only one living over there soon. Finally the little homeless bloke might have found a home.

Sounds like the hollow SIC worked out for him after all.

Well done to all the Aussies - Kissa, Marcus, Terrene and Jacko the surrogate Aussie. Travis is now a Yank... until he wins, then he's an Aussie again.

Just like Jacko is a kiwi until he wins, we could rename him Russell or Pavlova.

That was my 3rd Pai’lolo Channel crossing. Conditions for the race were average, there was some great spots for some long glides around the halfway mark I’d rate that run a 4/10 it was still fun. The race is getting bigger every year there must have been 50 competitors. In 2010 there was only 25 competitors.
I was hurting I hadn’t done much SUP training carrying two major injuries, shoulder and traps, I’m just living on 2 x 400mg ibuprofen a day to kill the pain. She’ll be right mate.
The first Time I did the crossing was in 2010 I thought conditions was epic so I asked Dave Kalama what he would rate that run he’s reply was a 5/10 I said really.
The 2012 Pai’lolo Crossing Dave Kalama gave it a 10/10 conditions were epic with a good 4ft swell running 25 knot winds and big troths.

Shoulder injuries hey Phil... It might be time to stop using that huge 10'' blade then..

Are you going to do the M2O race.. That's going to be bigger than Ben Hur this year..

Dave Kissa won todays 8.5mile Kamolo harbour to Molokai Hotel race in 1.13. 2nd was Kaeo Abbey 1.14, 3rd Tomo Murabayachi 1.15, 4th Marcus Tardrew 1.16. Zane took the 14' class in 1.19, then Matt Becker 1.27 then the Saffas, myself 1.28 and Kimon Dos Santos 1.29 (only four of us on 14's).

Jeniffer Lee first lady, Lina Augaitis, (14') then Brigette van Aswegen also on 14'

Easy race compared to yesterdays head-tide.....

32 paddlers today but both Travis, Connor and team Fanatic gave it a miss.

Aussies on the game - Dave killed it!!!

I love my 10'' Blade DJ I just cruse love doing the one big stoke everyone else does two stokes to my one I'd burn out if I upped my cadence even with a smaller blade.
I think I hurt my shoulder paddling my paddleboard kneeling up and reaching forward paddling I went surfing all day today at Thousand Peaks & had no pain.
Not doing M2O my team mates pulled out to sickness and injury it would have been fun doing 3 man team. Not doing M2O solo been there done that its too big a commitment as you need to fully train properly for a good 7 months. When I did M2O in 2010 I was super fit and 4kg lighter. If I'm still alive in 2032 I do M2O solo when I turn 70?

Haha! I did actually. It was getting wild! I removed a couple of centimeters from my face hair after I nearly melted my face off on my first maliko run! I upgraded from homeless to dero paddler.

If dw is your thing come here and do that race. Its amazing! And if you do, get on a glide and look around at the view, its hard to feel more alive I reckon.
And there is so much to learn from these paddlers.

Oh yeah, did someone mention how good Dave is! I wanna be like him when I grow up!

So 6 months here and 6 months there each year following sun and wind?

Pai'lolo Channel gets way better than that once you've paddled it a few times Andre. The very first time I paddled the Pai'lolo Channel I was frothing (I guessing like you) thinking this run is the best ever, unreal. I was shocked when all the Maui paddles gave that day a 5/10. Last saturdays race conditions was worst than my first paddle.
I made the flight back to Kahului Andre no problem even after a few Vodkas. Don't listen to rumors (Chinese whippers)
Remember Andre you should always travel with money
see ya on Maliko today
