Congratulations to Matt Lumley from Torquay in Victoria, the winner of the inagural Kahuna Sprint Challenge race, held at the 2nd Port Phillip Cup Event today.

Matt was the winner in the ultimate sprint race from a strong field of finalist contenders, selected from the top 3 placed from three heat races. Matt also won his heat.

The prize was a full Kahuna Street SUP gear kitout (Neofish Beachboard, 5'6" Big Stick, Hat & T-Shirt). The Kahuna crew member was not included!

Competitors were allowed to use their own paddles, but all were on G Boards to ensure the race was won with individual speed and stength, ellimentaing advanatge due to equipment. The race format was a beach start, then rounding a bouy approximately 100 metres off shore with a final short run over the finish line (with paddle).

A fast start for the final race ...

Strong finish ... Matt's feet don't touch the ground when he runs - Now that is skill

Well done to all the competitors and the organizers for making this an awesome event - Ride hard and carry a Big Stick
