Four runs in four days 16km per run.awsome runners. All the down winders at home are hard work, most of the time cutting across swells because of to much onshore.Over hear it is to easy hardly have to cut across swell, only so you can get into the harbour.I saw Dave Kalama the other day,we paddled out at moliko at the same time i took off first on my first run on a custom SIC F16.10 min later Dav cruises past me with Jeremy Riggs following him on a 14 Foote. They were flying. They would have been 20min ahead of me by the end.

enry from moliko gulch
looking towards ho'okipa
this is the valley you paddle towards to the harbour.

It's Woogie's line. He reckons he would rather do a Maliko run than go to Disneyland.

Good on ya Alison, the Australian invasion is on. I get the feeling this year is a tipping point for Maui becoming an annual pilgrimage for the SUP downwind crew from Aus, a bit like heading for the north shore in winter for waves?

Mark - are you up for a run around 1-2pm on Friday?? I'll be at Maliko gulch around that time for my first run. Then doing runs for the next couple of days.

Been on the southside at Kihei with the family for the past couple of days - the wind here is opposite direction to the north side of the island (???) but still blasting in the afternoon, 20knots++ for runs all the way down the south coast. The guys on OC-1's absolutely fly - I've never seen anyone go so fast with a paddle.
