Nice waves ! Nice surfing too, water looks great !!
Hey did one of those swimmers get a free hair cut!!

Hey is that an extra thin shaft on that paddle or what!! cause I'm looking at Matts fingers and the shaft does'nt look much thicker. Or is that just a contrast thing ?

Hey DJ ----these are from JAN JUC , the video footage was taken at Torquay point.

Toadwhispera,
Matt is Sponsered by Paddle Surf Hawaii & Kialoa SUP paddles .....That paddle is the Shaka Pu'u model and your correct the shaft does have a narrower diameter than most.
This is without a doubt the best paddle i have used ,so light weight and powerful.
Casso's review is spot on.

He's ripping - and it's not even a PSH Ripper that he's riding (I think it's an All Rounder).

Where's the video, Rich?

Toad, here's the Shaka Pu'u review (he he, that rhymes):

The last time I was out in the waves with Matt at Torquey he was raving about how good the Shaka Pu'u paddle is..and he was grinning from ear to ear.

They are very thin in the shaft and tapered towards the top end where they are about the diameter of you finger...There's no need for a large dia up there.

You can see what I mean here... www.seabreeze.com.au/forums/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=39056

Wanting to upgrade my paddle and am looking at the Kialoa paddles. Are these paddles really that good??
I have heard they are quite expensive ,so has anybody got any performance feedback and what are they worth to buy??

Upgrade your paddle and you will never look back. Try the Kiola, Werner and C4 and judge for yourself. You are looking at around $450- $500 for these paddles so yes they are pricey.

Hey Wazza ,
If your looking for a top end paddle for the surf or flat water, Kialoa's range offer is the best (in my opinion).
At $499.95 it's worth every cent!

Casso,
The video footage has been a slow process (no one wants to film when the waves are on!) , we want to add some more action over the next few weeks ....including 'Cosy Corner' where GSI are holding the SUP RALLY in OCT so everyone can see the area .
